Universal Robots

Universal Robots has extended the application areas of robots in industrial production once again with its robot models UR3, UR5 and UR10. These robot types offer new automation approaches both in large scale industrial application such as automotive production which already employ a high degree of automation, but also for small to medium size companies.

The robot types UR3, UR5, UR10 are very well suited for tasks which require only a low robot load bearing capacity of three, five or ten kilograms, for backup/emergency strategies or for limited space.
Further advantages for small to medium size companies are also the ability of in-house technical staff to change the robot program, the ease of use and the very fast amortization of the robot.

Application areas ATN and Universal Robots

Automotive cell concepts

  • Windscreen glazing (backup)
  • Cavity foaming (backup)
  • Primer application
  • Assembly and/or application of elements such as roof antenna, boot lid cover, battery box, spoilers or wheel arches

Man-Machine co-operation

  • Support of assembly processes

Quality control

Extensive tests of UR10 in ATN's Technology Centre

UR10 has been extensively tested in ATN's Technology Centre. For this purpose, different tools for the application of primers and adhesives were mounted or different uses simulated. Different assembly styles of the robot in standing or suspended position were also part of the test.
